The Opportunity Portcrest Auto Group — official distributor of Roewe (a brand of SAIC Motor, Fortune Global 500, over 4.5 million vehicles sold in 2025) — is launching a nationwide rent-a-car operation: a brand-new fleet, our own workshop and parts supply, and committed capital to grow. The network will cover the main airports (Punta Cana, Las Américas, Cibao–Santiago, Puerto Plata) and the country’s key tourist destinations. We are looking for an experienced rent-a-car operator to build and run this business from the ground up: design the operation, set up the systems, hire the team, build the partnerships, and own the P&L — with direct access to ownership and fast decisions. Responsibilities Launch the operation end to end: licensing, insurance, rental agreements, rental software, pricing, and the location rollout plan (airports, tourist zones, hotel delivery). Manage the fleet: size and mix, utilization, maintenance through our workshop, damage and claims, and the de-fleeting cycle into used-vehicle sales. Build the revenue channels: corporate accounts, insurance-replacement rentals, hotel and tourism partners, brokers and online booking platforms. Recruit and train the team, with counter, delivery, and return processes that serve local and international customers to a high standard. Own the budget and report the numbers that matter: utilization, revenue per unit, damage recovery, and profitability.

Requisitos

Requirements Minimum 7 years in the rent-a-car industry in the Dominican Republic, including senior management of a branch or full operation. Experience at airports and/or tourist destinations and managing multiple locations; willingness to travel nationwide. Proven fleet management track record: utilization, preventive maintenance, damage and claims. Command of rental management systems and online channels (brokers, OTAs); strong control of pricing, seasonality, and costs. Fluent English, written and spoken — required. Full professional Spanish. Valid driver’s license and clean record. A strong advantage: having launched or grown a rental operation from an early stage; international franchise experience (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt, or similar); relationships with hotels, tour operators, and insurers.
